Advancing Women and Girls Rights in the United States

Women and girls in the United States have come a long way, but there are still hurdles to overcome when we really think about what equality means. Ensuring that women and girls rights are at centre of efforts to create a more just society where all citizens have the same opportunities. In education, in employment and in healthcare advocacy groups are pressing for better protections and more funds to support women and girls. Advancing the rights of women and girls means addressing gender-based violence, discrimination and other challenges. By putting the rights of women and girls first, we contribute to a culture in which all people are respected and given the ability to thrive. Policymakers must stick up for the laws that protect women and girls, including being heard. In addition to that, empowering women and girls rights is a win-win for everyone. We need to always keep working towards equality and more regular focus on women and girls in the states from every part of our country.
